Great communities make for great stories to share, but in this world of digital media clutter, it is often difficult to stand out in the crowd.

This year, Hamilton County Tourism contracted with a national public relations firm to help amplify the stories about this great community. The search for a media relations partner was led by Whitney Riggs, HCT’s communications coordinator, with support from Marketing and Promotions Director Ashley Ledford and Vice President/CSO Karen Radcliff.

They chose an amazing team – Turner Public Relations – specialists in integrated communications strategy for travel and lifestyle brands. The relationship has gone well.

More than 20 stories have appeared in national news outlets ranging from U.S. News and the Chicago Tribune to Reader’s Digest, the Fox News Channel and Midwest Living. A total of eight travel writers visited the county this year.

The project has been so successful, we will continue that partnership in 2019.
