HAMILTON COUNTY LEADING THE WAY IN SPORTSMANSHIP EDUCATION

A chance meeting at an Indiana Fever game has turned into a new relationship driving sportsmanship and respect to game officials across Hamilton County. The end result could make Hamilton County a leader in officials retention, recruitment as well as improve the treatment of officials in youth sports.

The Hamilton County Sports Authority has partnered with Chicago-based Officially Human, which is run by Big Ten Senior Director of Officiating Brenda Hilton. The partnership is the first for a local sports authority in the country. 

HCSA CHARGING UP ITS STRATEGIC PLAN
Across the world and in many fields, ideas and initiatives were put on the shelf in 2020. But with new hires and increased bandwidth, the Hamilton County Sports Authority is reviewing and enacting its Charge Report done with tourism consultant Ken Ungar in 2019. A refresh of the strategic plan is being fast-tracked for implementation in Q1 of 2024.
